Halloween is right around the corner and this adorable Frankenstein Bookmark would be perfect for kids to keep their place in their favorite Halloween storybook. Some may think the Frankenstein character is scary with his big green body and stitches all over his head but not this Frankenstein bookmark, he is fun and friendly, and suitable for all ages. Do you know what Frankenstein is doing on the last Friday in October? Well, celebrating National Frankenstein Day of course. This year it will be held on October 28, 2022 and this Frankenstein bookmark would be a fabulous way for kids to celebrate this fun character as well as other Halloween friends.

Supplies:

How to Make a Frankenstein Bookmark

  • Select colored construction papers for the Frankenstein bookmark pattern. The template includes the head, hair, bolts, jacket, and front part of the shirt, arms, sleeves, trousers, and shoes. Trace and cut out the patterns nicely.
  • Attach the sleeve cutouts on the arm cutouts.

  • Attach the hair cut out to the top of the head cut out.

  • Use a gel pen or sharpie to draw the face of the papercraft Frankenstein figure. Attach the bolt cutouts on both sides of the head, below the ears.

  • Attach the shirt cut out along the middle of the jacket cut out and attach the shoe cutouts on the bottom side of the trouser cutout.

  • Attach the jacket (upper body) with the trouser (lower body) pattern.

  • Attach the head pattern on the top side of the body (jacket) by slightly overlapping it from the top.

  • Attach the arm patterns on both sides of the body base by gluing 1cm of the arms’ top ends.  
  • The rest of the arm parts should be glue free to keep them free from the body base pattern.

To use the papercraft Frankenstein figure as a bookmark, simply slide a sheet between the arms and the body base.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Keep your children’s love of reading by not just making bookmarks for Halloween but all throughout the year.
  • Make Frankenstein different colors other than green and black and keep the creativity growing.
  • Use googly eyes instead and watch them roll around as your child moves the bookmark through the pages.

How Do I Print A PDF?

You’ll need a program that supports PDFs. Adobe Acrobat is a great option. Open the program, click file then print. Select your printer and the number of copies you want to print. Be sure you click double-sided if you want it to print on both sides.

You may not resell any printable or template that you find on our website or received in your email. You may use them for class parties, at church, at home, or in the classroom. You may get these printed at an office supply store or copy center at your own expense.
