Instructions

Cut paper pieces for handprint scarecrow craft including hat, overalls, hands, and head.

Step 1: Prepare the Template
Print the scarecrow template and cut out each pattern piece. Select colored craft papers and trace each piece onto your chosen colors. Carefully cut out all the shapes — the handprints are for both the scarecrow’s hair and body.

Step 2: Create the Body
Glue the blue overall piece onto the large orange handprint base to make the scarecrow’s outfit.

Step 3: Make the Hair
Glue the two smaller yellow handprint cutouts together by overlapping the thumbs slightly.

Step 4: Add the Head
Glue the brown circle head cutout onto the yellow hair pieces.

Glue the small red patch onto the overalls and attach the yellow hay strips to the overall’s legs.

Step 7: Assemble the Scarecrow
Glue the completed head to the top of the handprint body.

Step 8: Draw the Face
Use markers or Sharpies to draw eyes, a triangular nose, rosy cheeks, and a stitched smile.
