How to Make the I Am Grateful Wheel

Step 1: Print the Template

Print both pages of the I Am Grateful Wheel Template â€” one page includes the base with “I am thankful for…” sections, and the other has the top wheel with festive Thanksgiving images.

Step 2: Color the Wheel

Encourage your kids to get creative! Let them color the pumpkins, leaves, and hats on the top wheel in bright fall colors.

Step 3: Fill in Gratitude Prompts

On the bottom wheel, have kids write or draw four things they are thankful for. This can be family, friends, pets, favorite foods, or anything that makes them happy.

Step 4: Cut Out the Wheels

Carefully cut along the outlines of both circles.

Step 5: Assemble the Wheel

Place the top colored wheel over the bottom wheel, aligning them at the center. Use a brass fastener to attach them so the top wheel can spin to reveal each thankful section.
