Supplies You’ll Need

  • 2 paper plates
  • Black acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Colored paper (white & pink)
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Craft glue
  • Sharpie

How to Make the Paper Plate Bat Craft

  1. Trace & Cut– Use the template to trace the bat’s ear piece, eyes, blush, fangs, mouth, and wings onto craft paper and plates. Cut everything out.
  2. Prep the Plates– Clean the backs of two paper plates. Cut one plate in half to use as the wings.

  1. Paint– Paint the entire bat body (one full plate and both wing halves) with black acrylic paint. Let it dry fully.

  1. Assemble the Face– Glue on the eyes and blush. Then add the mouth and white fangs between the cheeks.

  1. Attach the Wings– Once dry, glue the bat wings to the sides of the full paper plate.
  2. Display & Enjoy!– Your cute little bat is ready to hang up and show off!
