Camping Crafts for Preschoolers

It is always a blast when we go on a family camping trip, even if it’s in our own backyard. I love to relax and take the time to be away from my usual day-to-day activities.

My preschooler, on the other hand, love to be out in the sun to play, but their curious minds get bored sometimes. That’s why I always make sure to have my Camping Crafts for Preschoolers list handy!

These crafts make the campout so much more enjoyable for my preschooler and it is such a cool way to get them involved with nature or to learn new skills. There are also fun games and activities to keep their minds busy and curious while they are playing outdoors.

The last time we had a campout, we made two adorable paper bag puppets. Paper Bag Squirrel Puppet as well as an Owl Paper Bag Puppet. It was so much fun because my kids were able to play and create stories using the environment around them. It was really neat being able to see them utilize the space outside as well as the materials to make their stories come to life!

Supplies Needed To Make Camping Crafts for Preschoolers

You’ll want to make sure that you have the right materials in order to create these great crafts for your preschooler. Here are some things that I would suggest to have on hand:

Markers: Having a great set of markers will let your preschooler reach their creative potential by applying their own designs to their crafts.
Clay: Some great moldable clay is a great way to keep any preschooler mind busy and it is needed for a few of these cool crafts!
Scissors: Safe but reliable scissors are necessary for some of the papercrafts.
Construction Paper: Construction paper is even better when there are a lot of colors to choose from!
