When your kids are bored with all their toys but it isn’t Christmas yet, puppets are the perfect thing! These Christmas Puppets are easy to make from supplies you probably already have at home.
Christmas Puppets
Why is it that time seems to speed up for grownups as the holidays approach, but for kids, time slows to a crawl? I always find myself rushing around trying to get everything done, while my kids whine about how there’s nothing to do.
Whenever the whining gets to be too much, I know it’s time for a craft. Even better is a craft they can play with afterward! My daughter can play with a new “toy” for hours, so the time spent making it is well worth it!
If these little puppets are too advanced for your little ones, try out some paper bag puppets!

- Use a sharpie to add detail to the face
- Glue the hat onto the top of the head
- Glue the head to the top of the body
- Attach the gloves to both sides of Santa’s body to complete the craft.
- Make the Mrs. Claus and elf puppets by tracing, cutting, and pasting the patterns.
- Attach each figure to a popsicle stick.
Tips and Tricks
- Place all the cutouts for each puppet into a plastic bag to keep them all together so they don’t get lost
- If you don’t have popsicle sticks, attach each puppet to a pencil
- Use liquid glue to attach the puppets to the sticks for a firmer hold
