Tips and Tricks

  • We designed this craft to be a popsicle stick craft, but you can always enlarge the pattern and create a bigger gnome to display.
  • Allow your kids to have fun choosing different colors or designs of paper. Maybe, throw in a couple of patterns. You can easily create a whole family of gnomes pretty quickly.
  • You can use this pattern over and over throughout the year for other holidays as well. Just omit the hearts on the hat.

More Valentine’s Day Ideas

Kids love Valentine’s Day and why not, right? It is the perfect way for them to express their love to friends and family. We have some other great ideas to get them (and you) in the spirit of the season!

Start off with this fun Strawberry slime! They will love the smell of it as well as manipulating it. The great thing about slime is it really helps strengthen fine motor skills.

If you want to get your kids moving download and print this fun Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt! They will love searching high and low for all the items on their list.

If you want to get the kids in the kitchen and are feeling brave, take on making these fun Valentine’s M&M Hot Cocoa bombs! Your kids will love the final result!

And if you are still feeling crafty, make this fun Paper Flower Basket craft and turn it into a fun Valentine’s Day card for a loved one.

It’s always a good idea to add some fun new books into the mix. We love I Spy Activities and this I Spy Valentine’s Day Book is perfect for younger-aged kids. Of course, you can’t go wrong with Roses are Pink, Your Feet Really Stink either, there is a reason this is a best seller!
