Supplies Needed

• Colored craft papers (yellow, orange, and pink)
• Scissors
• Pencil
• Craft glue
• Sharpies

How to Make a Giraffe Corner Bookmark

Follow these simple steps to make your giraffe bookmark:

Step 1:

Select yellow, orange, and pink craft papers for your giraffe. Print and cut out the template patterns, which include the bookmark base, giraffe’s head, horns, inner ears, neck, mouth, tail, tail tip, and leg space. Trace the pieces onto your papers and cut them out neatly.

Step 2:

Glue the tail tip to the end of the tail cutout. Glue the inner ears onto the ears and the mouth part onto the front of the head.

Step 3:

Attach the head to one end of the neck and glue the horns on top of the head.

Step 4:

Take the bookmark base and fold it diagonally in half.

Step 5:

Fold down the top corner of the top layer to meet the opposite side.

Step 6:

Fold up the right bottom corner and join it to the right side of the top corner.

Step 7:

Tuck the open side of the right flap into the base pocket.

Step 8:

Flatten the tucked flap neatly.

Step 9:

Repeat the same for the left flap to finish the base.

Step 10:

Round the open corner with scissors.

Step 11:

Flip the bookmark over to the front side.

Step 12:

Glue the small square in the middle of the closed side to represent the giraffe’s legs.

Step 13:

Attach the neck to the open side opposite the legs.

Step 14:

Attach the tail to the side opposite the head.

Step 15:

Use an orange Sharpie to draw the giraffe’s spots and a black Sharpie to add the face details.
