Love Gnome Papercraft

Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite times of year! I love the focus on… well… love! All the pink and red crafts that represent love are just so cute to me.

My kids love papercrafts. We recently did a bunch of Construction Paper Valentine’s Crafts, so I just knew these love gnome papercrafts would be a hit in our home. Next, we will be making our adorable Girl Valentine’s Day boxes.

These adorable gnomes are perfect for kids because they encourage make believe play once they are done. I know your family will love spending time working on this craft project together.

Directions

cut out template of love gnome
  • Print and cut out the template patterns. Let’s start with the girl gnome figure. Select colored papers of your choice and trace the girl gnome patterns on them. The template includes a hat, braids, head, nose, arms, dress, shoes and heart. Trace the template patterns on the selected paper and cut out the traced pattern.
  • Attach the braid cutouts on both sides of the bottom end of the hat cutout.
  • Cut out and glue together several small squares of paper that you will attach to the back of the nose. This will create a 3D nose for your gnome.
  • Attach the nose on the head cutout and then attach the head with the hat and braid patterns. The braids should be placed on both sides of the head, with the hat placed along the top. Feel free to use a sharpie or colored marker to draw the eyes of the papercraft girl gnome figure. Googly eyes would also be fun!
  • Attach the shoe cutouts along the bottom side of the dress cut out and attach the dress pattern on the bottom side of the head, making sure the braids are on top of the dress. Attach an arm cutout to one side by joining it along the open edge of the dress and keeping the rest of the arm cutout free from glue. Attach the other arm cutout the same way.
