How to Make a Yarn Wrapped Hedgehog
Step 1: Cut Out the Hedgehog Pieces
Use cardboard or cardstock to create the hedgehog base. Trace and cut out the nose, ear, and blush pieces from colored craft paper.
Step 2: Prepare the Yarn
Choose your yarn color and turn the hedgehog base to the backside.
Step 3: Secure the Yarn
Use a small piece of clear tape to attach the open end of the yarn to the back of the hedgehog base.

Step 4: Wrap the Yarn
Turn the hedgehog to the front and start wrapping the yarn vertically around the base. Use the zigzag edges of the hedgehog shape to help keep the yarn in place.
Step 5: Get Creative
Wrap the yarn in a random pattern or keep it evenly spaced—there’s no wrong way!
Step 6: Finish Wrapping
When you’re happy with the look, turn the hedgehog to the back again. Cut the yarn and secure the end with another piece of clear tape.

Step 7: Add the Details
Turn the hedgehog back to the front. Glue the inner ear to the outer ear, then attach the ears to the hedgehog.
Step 8: Complete the Face
Glue the nose to the front tip of the hedgehog. Add blush if using. Draw the eye and mouth using a black marker.

Your yarn wrapped hedgehog is complete!
