How To Make Our Handprint Flower
Directions
- You can use the template’s handprints or trace your hands on a piece of paper for this craft. The template includes the following patterns – handprint, leaf, stem, heart, vase, and a strip. Trace the template patterns on the selected craft papers and cut out the traced pattern.
- Trace and cut out the leaf and stem patterns from green craft papers.
- Glue the leaf cutouts to both sides of the steam cutout.
- Use a sharpie to trace lines onto the leaf patterns.
- Glue the handprint cutout (flower part) onto the top open side of the stem cutout.
- Cut out the vase and strip patterns.
- Glue the strip cutout to the top of the vase cutout.
- Cut out and glue the heart cutout onto the vase below the strip and then glue the handprint flower on the top side of the paper vase pattern.
- Use different colored craft paper for the patterns to add variety.
Tips and Tricks
- Cut out the stem, leaf, and vase parts for younger kids to glue together.
- Glue several flowers onto one vase to create a bouquet.

- Colored construction papers
- Pencil – to trace the template
- Craft glue
- A pair of scissors
- Sharpie or gel pen
Instructions
You can use the handprints from the template or you can trace hands on a piece of paper for this craft. The template includes a handprint, leaf, stem, heart, a vase and a strip. Trace the template patterns on the selected construction papers and cut out the traced pattern.
Prepare the leaf and stem patterns from green colored craft papers.
Attach the leaf cutouts on both sides of the stem cutout.
Use a sharpie to add detail lines on the leaf patterns.
Glue the handprint cutout (flower for this craft) on the top open side of the stem.
Take the vase and strip cutouts. Glue the strip on the vase’s body, horizontally.
Glue the heart cutout on the vase, below the strip and then attach the handprinted flower on the top side of the paper vase pattern.
Use different colored craft papers for the patterns to add more variation to this craft.
How Do I Print A PDF?
You’ll need a program that supports PDFs. Adobe Acrobat is a great option. Open the program, click file then print. Select your printer and the number of copies you want to print. Be sure you click double-sided if you want it to print on both sides.
