Directions
- Select colored papers for the koala bear pattern. Trace and cut out the patterns. The template includes a head, nose, blush, inner ear patterns, outer ear patterns, collar fur, eyes, and leg patterns.
- Glue the inner ear cutouts onto the outer ear cutouts and glue the nose cutout to the head cutout.
- Glue the eyes and the blush cutouts on the head cutout as well. You could use a pink marker to add the blush, instead of cutting it out of pink paper.
- Use a sharpie or colored marker to draw outlines of the eyes and trace the mouth-line.
- Glue the ear patterns to the top side of the head cutout.
- Cut a piece of paper the color of the body the same size as your paper bag. Don’t glue it to your paper bag just yet. This will be the front side of the paper bag koala puppet.
- Attach the collar cutout to your prepared paper and then attach the leg cutouts on the bottom side of the other side of the paper (collar on the front side, and legs on the back side).
- Glue the paper body base onto the back side of your paper bag.
- Flatten the bottom flap of the paper bag to sit on top of the koala base. Glue the head pattern onto the bottom flap of the paper bag to finish your paper bag koala bear puppet.
