If you have a dog loving family, then this Paper Cup Dog is for you! Your kids will love crafting their own dog and will love playing with them when they are done. You are going to love spending time together as a family, talking and laughing about dogs and family memories.
Paper Cup Dog
Our family has loved making a couple of paper cup crafts in the last couple of months, so I knew I needed to add another paper cup craft to our collection. My kids really loved making their Paper Cup Turkey Craft and Paper Cup Bat Craft. Both were staples in my kids’ make-believe play for months, so I know this Paper Cup Dog is going to be such a hit for your family.
Our family loved gathering around the table and transforming a paper cup into a fun craft the kids could all play with together. We have a whole collection of paper cup dogs running around the house now!
My kids really loved being able to make their favorite breed of dog! One of my kids made a dalmatian, and another made a purple and pink striped dog. Their creativity is part of the fun! I love that they are able to make their dog their own.

- Trace and cut out the head and ear patterns from the selected colored construction papers.
- Attach the ear cutouts on both sides of the head cutout.
- Use a pencil to draw the face of the paper cup dog.
- Use a sharpie to trace along the pencil outlines of the face.

- You can place the cup on a flat surface to make the paper cup dog stand.
Tips and Tricks
- Encourage your kids to make whatever breed of dog they want! Kids are so creative, and you will love their creations when they are done.
- If you have little kids, you might need to help them cut out their pieces. Make it a team project between you and your kid, or ask an older sibling to help!
- If you don’t want to make a paper cup-style craft, you could cut the template pieces out and put them on a piece of paper to make a flat dog craft, perfect for displaying!
