2026 January Come Follow Me Primary Talks
Week #1 December 29- January 4: Introduction to the Old Testament
Junior- The Old Testament was written a long time ago, but did you know that it still talks about Jesus Christ? A prophet named Isaiah wrote that a special baby would be born. That baby was Jesus! When we look for Jesus in the Old Testament, we can feel His love. I know Jesus is our Savior, and I’m glad we can learn about Him in every part of the scriptures. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- The Old Testament can sometimes be hard to understand, but it still teaches us about Jesus Christ. One prophet, Isaiah, lived long before Jesus was born. He wrote that a special baby would come. That baby was Jesus Christ. When we look at pictures of Isaiah writing about Jesus, we can remember that people have always been taught about Christ. As we study the Old Testament this year, we can look for Jesus in the stories and learn more about Him. I know Jesus is our Savior, and I’m happy we can find Him in all the scriptures. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #2 January 5- 11: Moses 1; Abraham 3
Junior- In the scriptures, God told Moses, “You are my son.” That means Moses was a child of God. We are also children of God! Heavenly Father loves us so much. When we remember “I am a child of God,” we feel happy and safe. And when we remember “You are a child of God,” we want to be kind to others. I know Heavenly Father loves all of us. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- In Moses 1, Heavenly Father tells Moses, “Thou art my son.” Moses learned who he really was—a child of God. We can learn the same thing about ourselves. Heavenly Father knows us, loves us, and wants to help us. A little later, Satan tries to tell Moses something different. But Moses does not believe Satan because he remembers what God said. We can do that too. God’s messages make us feel peace and love, and Satan’s messages make us feel confused or sad. Knowing we are children of God helps us treat ourselves kindly and be kind to others, because they are God’s children too. I know Heavenly Father loves each of us. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #3 January 12-18: Genesis 1-2; Moses 2-3; Abraham 4-5
Junior- Jesus made the earth! He made the light, the water, the plants, the animals, and everything we see. When we look at flowers, trees, or the sky, we can remember that Jesus made them because He loves us. This beautiful world is a gift from Him. I know Jesus made the earth for us. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- In the scriptures, we learn that Jesus Christ created the earth. He made the light, the sky, the land, the plants, and the animals. He created everything we see around us. When we look at the world, we can remember His power and His love. The Creation shows us that Jesus knows what we need. He created a beautiful earth so we could live, learn, and feel joy. When we see mountains, flowers, animals, and even the sun and stars, we can remember Him. Learning about the Creation helps us feel thankful for Jesus Christ and all He has made for us. I know He created this world for each of us because He loves us. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #4 January 19-25: Genesis 3-4; Moses 4-5
Junior- Heavenly Father wants us to have agency. Agency means that we can make our own choices. Jesus helped us so we can choose the right. When we choose to be kind, help others, and listen to our parents, we feel happy. Heavenly Father and Jesus are glad when we make good choices. I know we can choose the right. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- In Moses 4:1–4, we learn that Heavenly Father wants us to have agency. Agency means the ability to choose for ourselves. Satan wanted to take away our choices, but Jesus wanted us to be able to choose the right. Because of Jesus, we can learn, grow, and become more like Heavenly Father. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ teach us what is right and help us feel the Holy Ghost, who helps us make good choices. When we choose the right, we feel happy inside, and we feel closer to Jesus. I know that Heavenly Father trusts us to choose the right, and He will help us every time we try. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

2025 Come Follow Me Primary Talks
Week #1- December 30-January 5: The Restoration of the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ Book of Mormon helps me to have faith in Jesus Christ.

Junior- When Joseph Smith was a boy, he wanted to know which church to join. He read a scripture in the Bible, James 1:5, that says if we have questions, we can ask God. Joseph prayed to Heavenly Father, and Heavenly Father and Jesus came to him. They told Joseph not to join any church because none of them were the true church. We can pray to Heavenly Father too, and He will answer us because He loves us. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- When Joseph Smith was a young boy, he had an important question: Which church should he join? In Joseph Smith History 1:10, he said, “If any one of them be right, which is it, and how shall I know it?” While he was trying to figure it out, Joseph read a scripture in James 1:5: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” This scripture gave Joseph the idea to pray and ask Heavenly Father what to do. When Joseph prayed, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him. They told him not to join any of the churches because none of them were right. This was the beginning of the Restoration of the gospel. Just like brother Joseph, we can pray to Heavenly Father when we have questions or need help. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers when we ask in faith. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Week #2- January 6-12: Doctrine and Covenants 1

Junior– Heavenly Father loves us and helps us stay safe. He gives us warnings through His prophets. President Nelson is our prophet today. In Doctrine and Covenants 1:37–38, it says that when prophets speak, it’s like Heavenly Father speaking to us. Prophets warn us of spiritual dangers and guide us to follow Jesus. When we listen to the prophet, we can feel safe and happy. I know Heavenly Father loves us and speaks through His prophets. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- Heavenly Father loves us so much that He gives us warnings to help us stay safe and happy. One way He warns us is through His prophets. President Nelson is our current prophet. In Doctrine and Covenants 1:37–38, the Lord says: “Search these commandments, for they are true and faithful… What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, … whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same.” This means that when prophets speak, it’s like Heavenly Father speaking to us. Prophets give us warnings because they can see dangers we might not see. These warnings protect us and keep us on the right path. In General Conference, our prophet, President Russell M. Nelson, warned us to focus on Jesus Christ and prepare for hard times by strengthening our faith. When we follow these warnings, we can feel safe and peaceful, even when life gets hard. I know that Heavenly Father speaks to us through His prophets because He loves us. If we listen to them and follow their teachings, we will be blessed. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Week #3- January 13-19 “I Saw a Pillar of Light”

Junior- Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. We can talk to Him about anything—our questions, worries, or thanks. When Joseph Smith was a boy, he had a question: Which church should he join? He prayed, and Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him. They told Joseph not to join any church because they would bring back the true Church. We can pray just like Joseph did. We start our prayers by saying “Dear Heavenly Father” and end by saying “In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.” This shows Him that we love Him. Heavenly Father answers in different ways—He might give us peace, send help through others, or help us understand later. I know He loves us and hears us when we pray. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- Heavenly Father always hears and answers our prayers. When we pray, we can talk to Him about anything—our questions, our worries, and our thanks. When Joseph Smith was a young boy, he had a question: Which church should he join? He prayed to Heavenly Father to ask for help. In Joseph Smith—History 1:16–19, we learn that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph and answered his prayer. They told him not to join any church because none of them were right. This answer changed Joseph’s life and helped restore the true Church back to the Earth. We can ask questions to Heavenly Father just like Joseph did. To do this, we need to pray with faith. We should ask for help in a humble and respectful way. We start our prayers by saying “Dear Heavenly Father” and end by saying “In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.” This shows Heavenly Father that we love and honor Him. Heavenly Father answers prayers in different ways. Sometimes, He gives us a feeling of peace, sometimes, He helps us through other people; and sometimes, we have to wait to understand His answer. No matter how He answers, I know He loves us, hears our prayers and wants to help us when we pray with faith and trust in Him. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Week #4- January 20-26 “The Hearts of the Children Shall Turm to their Fathers”
Junior- Heavenly Father loves us and wants families to be together forever. In the temple, families can be sealed so they can stay together, even after this life. Heavenly Father wants us to go to the temple because families are so important to Him. I’m thankful for the temple and for eternal families. I know Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to be happy together forever. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- Heavenly Father loves us so much that He wants families to be together forever. The most special place on earth is the temple. In the temple, families can be sealed together, which means they can be together forever, even after this life. In Doctrine and Covenants 2, we learn that Elijah the prophet was sent to help make this possible. Because of him, families can be sealed together in the temple. Heavenly Father wants us to have this blessing because families are important to Him. Temples remind us that Heavenly Father’s plan is for us to return to live with Him and our families. When we keep the commandments and prepare to go to the temple, we are showing Heavenly Father that we want to be with Him and our family forever. I’m so grateful for the temple and for the blessing of eternal families. I know Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to be happy together forever. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Week #5- January 27-February 2 “My Work Shall Go Forth”

Junior- Sometimes people might try to get us to make bad choices, but we can trust Heavenly Father to help us choose the right. Joseph Smith had a hard choice when Martin Harris wanted to take the Book of Mormon pages. Heavenly Father said no, but Joseph let Martin take them. Martin lost the pages, and Joseph felt bad. He learned to always trust Heavenly Father. When we choose the right, Heavenly Father will help us and bless us. I know He loves us and will make us strong. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- Sometimes, people might try to get us to make choices that we know aren’t right. When that happens, we can trust Heavenly Father to help us choose the right. Joseph Smith had to make a hard choice when Martin Harris wanted to take the Book of Mormon pages to show his family. Heavenly Father told Joseph not to let Martin take the pages, but Martin kept asking. Joseph gave in and let him borrow the pages. Martin lost the pages, and Joseph felt very bad. He learned that it’s important to always trust Heavenly Father and follow His guidance. When we are faithful and choose the right, Heavenly Father will always help us. If someone tries to get us to make a bad choice, we can remember to pray, trust Heavenly Father, and stand up for what we know is right. Heavenly Father loves us and will help us be strong. I know we can choose the right, even when it’s hard, and Heavenly Father will bless us when we do. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

2024 January Come Follow Me Primary Talks
Week #1- Reading the Book of Mormon helps me to have faith in Jesus Christ.

Junior- The Book of Mormon teaches me to have faith in Jesus. We learn that we can be like Him when we choose the right. The Book of Mormon helps us to make good choices and be more like Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior- Studying the Book of Mormon helps me to have faith in Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is a companion to the Bible. It also teaches us about Jesus. It tells us about Jesus’ visit to the Americas after He was resurrected. We learn in the Book of Mormon about how the people in the Americas were taught and blessed by Jesus. We also learn that, during His visit, He called people to serve Him and to share the gospel. Knowing about the appearance of Christ to the people in the Americas is evidence that God wanted all the world to know about Jesus and learn of the fullness of the gospel, not just one place or one people. The stories in the Book of Mormon help me to feel the love of my Savior. We can show our love for Him by following the teachings of the Book of Mormon. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Week #2- I can have my own testimony.

Junior- I can have my own testimony. A testimony is when you have faith in Jesus. I can grow my testimony by praying, making good choices, and being nice to others. My testimony makes me feel happy. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior- A testimony is like a plant. It needs to be tended to so that it will grow. Just as a plant may need water, soil, and sunlight, a testimony grows when you add prayer, study, obedience, and faith. A testimony also grows as you share it. President Boyd K. Packer once said, “A testimony is to be found in the bearing of it!” Sharing your testimony can be easy. You can tell a friend who is having a hard time how your faith in Jesus helped you when you were sad. You can tell your family about something you learned at church. When we share our testimonies, the Holy Ghost can testify to us that what we are sharing is true and we can help strengthen others’ testimonies, too. It is our responsibility to nourish and grow our own testimonies. We will feel peace and joy as we do so. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Week #3- God will reveal truth to me by the power of the Holy Ghost.

Junior- When I have a question, I can pray to my Heavenly Father. He listens to me and answers me through the Holy Ghost. I know that when I listen to the Holy Ghost I will know when something is true. I will feel warm and happy inside. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior- The Holy Ghost can be heard and felt in many different ways. People sometimes describe the Holy Ghost as a feeling of peace or warmth. Others may describe the influence of the Holy Ghost as a whispering of words or ideas spoken to their hearts. One important role of the Holy Ghost is to help us to know truth when we hear it. He does this by giving us good feelings when we learn of something true. Although we may not see Heavenly Father and Jesus, we know they are real because of the Holy Ghost. He will also help us to know truth as we read the Book of Mormon and learn about the gospel. We can prepare ourselves to feel the influence of the Holy Ghost by obeying the commandments, praying, and studying our scriptures. He will testify of truth as we do so. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Week #4- Heavenly Father sent Jesus Christ because He loves me.

Junior- An angel taught Nephi about the Savior. He learned that the Savior was sent to earth to teach us how to be like Him. When I think about God sending His son to earth, I know that He loves me. I want to show my love for Him by trying to be more like Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior- Heavenly Father sent Jesus to earth because He loves me. In the pre-existence, God promised to send a Savior to earth so that we could all one day live with Him again. Jesus was sent to earth to fulfill that promise. Jesus lived His life as an example to us so that we would know how to live and how to be obedient. He atoned for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane and died on the cross so that He could rise again. Because of Jesus, we will all be able to be resurrected and live with Heavenly Father again. Heavenly Father loved us so much that He sent His son to redeem us from sin and teach us how to make choices that will lead us back to God and to eternal life. I am grateful for the love I feel from my Heavenly Father. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
