2026 December Come Follow Me Primary Talks
Week #1 November 30- December 6: Micah; Nahum; Habakkuk; Zephaniah
Junior- Zephaniah teaches us to sing and be happy because Jesus loves us. When we follow Him, He rejoices with us. Jesus is happy when I choose the right, when I am kind, and when I pray. He helps me feel joy in my heart. I know Jesus loves me and is glad when I follow Him. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- In Zephaniah 3:14–20, the prophet talks about a joyful time when the Lord will bless His people, gather them, protect them, and bring them home. He invites us to “sing,” “be glad,” and “rejoice with all the heart.” These verses teach us that Jesus Christ feels happiness when we follow Him. It is comforting to know that when we choose the right, repent, keep the commandments, and love others, the Savior rejoices with us. He doesn’t just watch us. He celebrates our efforts and feels joy when we try to become more like Him. He is not a distant God; He is a loving Savior who is excited for our progress. The gospel brings real joy. We feel it when we sing hymns, read the scriptures, pray, serve others, or feel the Spirit. This joy comes from Jesus Christ, and it grows stronger as we follow Him. I know that Jesus Christ rejoices when we follow Him, and He fills our hearts with joy and peace. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #2 December 7-13: Haggai 1-2; Zechariah 1-4; 7-14
Junior- In Zechariah’s vision, a man wore dirty clothes. An angel helped him and gave him clean clothes. The clean clothes remind us of being forgiven and being close to Jesus. When we are baptized, we wear white to show we want to be clean and follow Jesus. When we choose the right, pray, and repent, Jesus helps us stay clean and happy. I know that keeping my promises to Heavenly Father helps me be more like Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- In Zechariah 3, the prophet sees a vision of a high priest standing before the Lord. At first, the priest is wearing “filthy garments.” Then an angel takes away the dirty clothes and gives him clean, beautiful clothing. This vision teaches us something important about covenants and the Savior’s Atonement. The dirty clothing represents sin and mistakes, things that make us spiritually unclean. But the clean clothing represents forgiveness and purity. Through Jesus Christ, we can repent and become clean again. His Atonement makes it possible for our hearts to change and for our lives to be made new. When we are baptized, we make a covenant with Heavenly Father. We promise to follow Jesus, remember Him, and keep His commandments. Heavenly Father promises to forgive us, help us, and guide us through the Holy Ghost. Baptism is not the end; it is the beginning of a lifelong promise to walk in the Lord’s ways. Keeping our covenants helps us become more like Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. When we repent, try our best, serve others, pray, and choose the right, we are “putting on” the clean clothing the angel gave in the vision. We are becoming more like the Savior every day. I know that making and keeping covenants helps me be clean and helps me become more like Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #3 December 14-20: Malachi
Junior- Malachi taught that when we pay tithing, Heavenly Father opens the “windows of heaven” and gives us blessings. Tithing means giving one-tenth to the Lord. Which means if I have 10 pennies, I will give the Lord one. When we do this, Heavenly Father helps us, protects us, and makes us happy. I know paying tithing brings blessings. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- In Malachi 3, the Lord teaches us about tithing. He asks us to give Him one-tenth of what we receive. Sometimes that might feel like a big sacrifice, but to Heavenly Father, it is a sign of our faith, our gratitude, and our trust in Him. Malachi promises that when we pay tithing, the Lord will “open the windows of heaven” and pour out blessings so great that “there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Tithing is not just about money; it is about showing the Lord that we put Him first in our lives. When we do, He blesses us with spiritual strength, protection, peace, and help in our needs. The Lord does not need our money, but He asks for our obedience and our willingness to build His kingdom. Tithing helps support temples, meetinghouses, missionary work, and the purchase of scriptures. When we pay tithing, we are helping the Lord’s work move forward. I know that when we pay tithing faithfully, Heavenly Father keeps His promises and blesses us in ways we can see and ways we may not even notice at first. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #4 December 21-27: Christmas
Junior- At Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Heavenly Father gave us His Son because He loves us. Jesus was born in a stable. Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and the wise men all loved Him. They were happy He came to earth. Jesus is the best gift. He helps me, loves me, and is my Savior. I’m thankful Heavenly Father sent Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- Christmas is a special time because we remember the greatest gift Heavenly Father has ever given us, His Son, Jesus Christ. In the scriptures, we read about Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, the wise men, and even angels who all felt joy and reverence when Jesus was born. Each of them knew this tiny baby would change the world. Heavenly Father sent Jesus to earth because He loves us. Jesus came to teach us, to show us how to live, to heal, and to bless. Most of all, He came to be our Savior. Because of Him, we can repent, be forgiven, feel peace, and someday return to Heavenly Father. When we think about Christ’s birth, we can feel what the shepherds felt: wonder and joy. We can feel what Mary felt: love and gratitude. And we can feel what the wise men felt, a desire to seek Jesus and give Him the best we have. At Christmas, we can give a gift back to Jesus by choosing the right, being kind, and remembering Him. I know Heavenly Father sent His Son for me, and Jesus Christ is my Savior. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #1- December 1-7 “The Vision of the Redemption of the Dead”

Junior– Heavenly Father loves everyone and wants all His children to hear the gospel. In Doctrine and Covenants 137:10, it says that people who didn’t get to learn about Jesus in this life will still have the chance to accept the gospel. We can help by sharing the gospel and doing temple work for those who have passed away. This shows how much Heavenly Father loves all of us. I’m thankful for Heavenly Father’s plan and for temples. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior– Heavenly Father loves all of His children and wants everyone to hear the gospel. In Doctrine and Covenants 137:10, it says, “All who have died without a knowledge of this gospel, who would have received it with all their hearts, shall be heirs of that kingdom.” This means that even if someone didn’t have a chance to learn about Jesus Christ during their life, they will still get the chance to accept the gospel. This plan makes it possible for everyone to hear the gospel, even after they die.We can help by sharing the gospel with others and doing temple work for those who have passed away. Heavenly Father’s plan shows His love for all of us. I know that Heavenly Father wants everyone to have the chance to learn about Jesus and feel His love. I’m thankful for His plan and for temples. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Week #2- December 8-14 “We Believe”

Junior– Heavenly Father speaks to us today through His prophet. The ninth article of faith says, “We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal.” This means God talks to us through scriptures and prophets. Prophets like Moses and Nephi taught people long ago. Today, President Russell M. Nelson is our prophet. He helps us know what Jesus wants us to do. I know God leads His Church through His prophet. I’m thankful for President Nelson and his teachings. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior– Heavenly Father speaks to us today through His prophet. The ninth article of faith says, “We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things.” This means God speaks to us through scriptures and modern prophets. Ancient prophets, like Moses and Nephi, taught people how to follow God. Today, God still gives us guidance through a living prophet. President Russell M. Nelson is our prophet now. He teaches us what Jesus wants us to do. Prophets help us by giving us instructions to follow Jesus. When we listen to the prophet, we are following Heavenly Father’s plan and feeling His love. I know that the God leads His Church through His prophet. I’m thankful for President Nelson and all the ways he teaches us. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Week #3- December 15-21 “The Family Is Central to the Creator’s Plan”

Junior– Families are an important part of Heavenly Father’s plan. Prophets taught that families help us learn, grow, and feel love. In our families, we can pray, read scriptures, and love each other. This helps us follow Heavenly Father’s plan and be more like Jesus. I’m thankful for my family and for Heavenly Father’s plan. I know our families can be happy when we follow Him. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior– Families are a very important part of Heavenly Father’s plan? Prophets and apostles wrote The Family: A Proclamation to the World to teach us how special families are to Him. Families help us learn, grow, and feel love. Heavenly Father wants us to be in families because they help us follow His plan. In our families, we learn to pray, read scriptures, and love each other. Families help us become more like Jesus. I’m thankful for my family and for Heavenly Father’s plan. I know that when we follow His teachings, our families can be happy and full of love. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Week #4- December 22-28 “The Matchless Gift of God’s Divine Son”

Junior– Heavenly Father gave us the amazing gift, His Son, Jesus Christ, because He loves us so much. Jesus came to Earth to teach us to love, be kind, and forgive. He gave His life so we can be forgiven and live with Heavenly Father again. We can thank Jesus by being kind, helping others, and making good choices. When we follow Him, we feel happy and peaceful. Let’s always remember the special gift of Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior– One of the most amazing gifts we have been given is Heavenly Father’s Son, Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father gave us this gift because He loves each of us so much. Jesus came to Earth to teach us about love, kindness, and forgiveness. His greatest act of love was giving His life for us so that we can be forgiven for our mistakes and live with Heavenly Father again someday. We can show our thanks to Jesus by living the way He taught us. This means being kind, helping others, and making good choices every day. When we follow Jesus’s example, we feel happiness and peace. Let’s always remember the special gift of Jesus Christ and try to keep Him at the center of our lives. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #1- Faith is believing in things I cannot see.
Junior– I cannot see the wind when it blows but I know that it is there because I feel it. I cannot see God but I know that He is there because I feel his love for me. I have faith that He is there. Faith is believing in something that you cannot see. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior– Faith is believing in things you cannot see. We may never see Jesus Christ in this life but we can have faith that He exists and that He is our Savior. We were provided records of the life and gospel of Jesus Christ. When we read the scriptures, our faith will grow. We also know of Him because of the feelings that we get when we pray and study. The Holy Ghost confirms the love that Jesus has for us. These feelings grow our faith. Elder Neil L. Andersen taught, “Your faith will grow not by chance, but by choice.” Some ways we can choose to grow our faith are praying, reading our scriptures, keeping the commandments, repenting, and following the prophet. As we choose to follow the teachings of the gospel each day, our faith will strengthen. I know that I will be happy as I choose to grow my faith. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Week #2- The Holy Ghost is a sacred gift.
Junior– When I am 8, I will be baptized. I will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is a sacred gift. The Holy Ghost will give me happy and peaceful feelings. He will guide and comfort me. I want to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost someday. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior– When are baptized as members of the church, we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. This gift is not like a birthday or Christmas gift. It doesn’t come wrapped in a bow. It is a sacred gift. The gift of the Holy Ghost allows us to be close to our Savior throughout our lives and have communication with Him. The Holy Ghost can be a comfort to us in tough times and can guide us in times when we need direction. The Holy Ghost can give us feelings of peace and happiness and also provide feelings of warning to protect us if we are in harm’s way. The Holy Ghost will testify of truth. In Moroni 10:5 it reads, “And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.” I want to always live worthy of this important gift. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Week #3- If I have faith in Jesus Christ, I can do whatever He needs me to do.
Junior– “I will go, I will do the things the Lord commands. I know that He provides a way. He wants me to obey.” This song talks about Nephi’s courage. I know that I can do whatever the Lord wants me to do if I have faith like Nephi. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior– Many examples in the scriptures show how faith in Christ has helped people do amazing things. Some examples are when David defeated Goliath, when Nephi built a ship, and when Ammon defended the flocks of King Lamoni. They had faith that the Lord would help them. They wanted to do the will of the Lord. I know that I too can do whatever the Lord needs me to do. My faith can help me overcome my fears. President Gordon B. Hinckley said, “There is no obstacle too great, no challenge too difficult, that we cannot meet with faith.” Our faith helps us to use God’s power as we seek to do His will. When we have faith, we can do things that seem impossible. It is important to grow my faith each day so that I am prepared to act when the Lord needs me. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Week #4- I can know for myself that the Book of Mormon is true.
Junior– Moroni says that I can pray to Heavenly Father and ask if the Book of Mormon is true. I have faith that Heavenly Father will answer my prayers. Because of my faith, He will help me know the truth of the Book of Mormon. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior– At the end of the Book of Mormon, Moroni challenges us to pray about what we have read. He says in Moroni 10:4, “Ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.” This is how I can know that the Book of Mormon is true for myself. After reading and pondering it in my heart, I can pray about it in faith. I am promised that I will feel the Holy Ghost testify of the truth of the Book of Mormon to my heart and mind. We can have that testimony for ourselves. When we do, we can become great missionaries as we share what we know. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Week #5 (Christmas)- Jesus Christ is Heavenly Father’s gift to me.
Junior– Heavenly Father sent His son to us here on earth. Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem. Jesus made it possible for us to live with our families forever. He showed us how to live. Jesus is my favorite Christmas gift. I love Him. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior– At a time of year when we think a lot about gifts, giving and receiving, we are reminded to think about the greatest gift ever given. Heavenly Father gave us the gift of His only begotten son. He gave us this gift so that we could learn from Him through His perfect example. He gave us this gift so a perfect Savior could atone for our sins and die for us. He gave us this gift so that we can live with Him and Christ and our families for eternity. This gift is our salvation. There has been no greater gift. As we enjoy Christmas with our friends and family, we should remember why we celebrate the birth of Christ and be grateful for a Heavenly Father who loved us so much that He provided a Savior for us. President Dieter F. Uchtdorf said, “This Christmas season we celebrate the greatest gift of all, the one that makes all other gifts possible—the birth of the babe of Bethlehem.” In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
