2026 September Come Follow Me Primary Talks
Week #1 August 31- September 6: Psalms 102-103; 110; 116-119; 127-128; 135-139; 146-150
Junior- Psalm 139 teaches that Heavenly Father and Jesus know everything about us. They know when we sit, when we stand, and what we feel inside. They know our names, our hearts, and they love us so much. Jesus can help us choose the right and feel happy. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- Psalm 139 teaches something beautiful: Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know everything about us. It says they know when we sit down, when we stand up, what we are thinking, and every path we take. They know our strengths, our fears, our hopes, and our secret worries. And they love us completely. In verses 23–24, the psalmist asks God to “search” his heart and “lead” him in the right way. This shows that we can trust Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to guide us because they know us better than anyone else. When we pray, they already understand what we need. When we make mistakes, they know how to help us. When we feel alone, they are right there with us. Because they know us perfectly, they can help us become our best selves. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know me, watch over me, and love me every day. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #2 September 7-13: Proverbs 1-4; 15-16; 22; 31; Ecclesiastes 1-3; 11-12
Junior- Proverbs says to trust the Lord with all our hearts. That means we believe Jesus will help us. We don’t have to do everything alone. When we pray, listen, and choose the right, Jesus guides us. I know I can trust Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- Proverbs 3:5–7 teaches, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” This scripture reminds us that Jesus Christ knows more than we do and sees the bigger picture of our lives. Sometimes we want to solve problems on our own, but the Lord asks us to lean on Him just like we lean on something strong and sturdy. If we lean on something weak, it won’t hold us up. When we rely only on ourselves, we might feel confused or lost. But when we trust the Lord, He gives us strength, peace, and direction. We show trust in Jesus by praying, reading the scriptures, following the Holy Ghost, keeping the commandments, and choosing the right even when it’s hard. When we trust Him, He helps us “walk in His ways” and avoid wrong paths. I know that when we trust the Lord with all our hearts, He will guide us and bless us. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #3 September 14-20: Isaiah 1-12
Junior- Isaiah taught that when we make mistakes, it’s like getting dirty on the inside. But Jesus can make us clean again. When we say sorry, pray, and try to choose the right, Jesus washes our hearts and helps us feel happy. I know Jesus loves me and helps me be clean. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- In Isaiah 1, the Lord explained that the people had turned away from Him and made wrong choices. He said even animals know their master, but the people had forgotten their Heavenly Father. These verses remind us that we need to remember who loves us and who we follow. Isaiah also taught something beautiful. He said that even if our sins are bright red, through Jesus Christ they can become white like snow. That means that no matter what mistakes we make, we can repent and be completely clean again. We become spiritually unclean when we disobey, speak unkindly, make bad choices, or forget to follow the Savior. But Jesus Christ made it possible for us to repent, change, and start fresh. When we pray, say sorry, try our best, and follow Him, the Savior cleans our hearts just like washing something dirty until it’s pure white again. I know Jesus Christ loves us and wants to help us be clean and happy. Because of Him, repentance is a gift that brings peace. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #4 September 21-27: Isaiah 13-14; 22; 24-30; 35
Junior- Isaiah said the Lord would do a “marvellous work.” That means something amazing! The gospel was lost for a long time, but Heavenly Father restored it through Joseph Smith. Now we have the Book of Mormon, prophets, and temples again. I know the Restoration is wonderful, and I’m thankful for Jesus’s church. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior- In Isaiah 29, the Lord promised that He would do “a marvellous work and a wonder.” Isaiah was talking about the Restoration of the gospel in the latter days. This includes the First Vision, the coming forth of the Book of Mormon, priesthood power being restored, prophets being called again, and the building of temples. A “marvellous work” means something amazing, wonderful, and done by God. The Restoration truly is all of those things. For many years, the fullness of the gospel was lost, like something important that had been misplaced. But Heavenly Father restored it through Joseph Smith so we could have temples, covenants, revelation, priesthood blessings, and scriptures that teach us of Jesus Christ. When I think of the Restoration, I feel grateful. The First Vision is marvelous because it brought back the true knowledge of who God is. The Book of Mormon is marvelous because it teaches us about Jesus Christ and answers our questions. Temples are marvelous because they connect us with Heaven. Isaiah promised that in the last days, people would understand truth again and see clearly. Because of the Restoration, we have the gospel in its fullness, and we can feel the Lord guiding His church today. I know the Restoration is a marvelous work, and I’m thankful to be part of it. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #1- September 1-7 “For Salvation of Zion”

Junior– When we turn 8 we can get baptized. We make a special promise to Heavenly Father called a covenant. In Mosiah 18:9, we promise to follow Jesus, help others, and keep the commandments. Heavenly. When we keep the commandments we are blessed. Covenants help us stay close to Heavenly Father. We can keep our covenants by being kind, choosing the right, and remembering Jesus. I’m thankful for Heavenly Father’s blessings when we keep our promises. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior– When we are baptized, we make a special promise to Heavenly Father. This promise is called a covenant. In Mosiah 18:9, we learn that we promise to follow Jesus Christ, help others, and keep the commandments. In return, Heavenly Father promises to bless us with His Spirit and help us. Covenants are also made in the temple. These promises help us stay close to Heavenly Father and prepare to live with Him again someday. When we keep our covenants, we are blessed. In Doctrine and Covenants 97:9, it says those who keep their covenants are like “a fruitful tree which is planted … by a pure stream.” This means the Lord will help us grow strong and happy. We can keep our covenants by being kind, choosing the right, and remembering Jesus. I know that when we do, we are blessed with peace, love, and the Spirit. I’m thankful for the covenants we can make with Heavenly Father and for the blessings He gives us when we keep them. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Week #2- September 8-14 “Be Still and Know that I am God”

Junior– Sometimes life is hard, and we feel sad or worried. But Jesus can help us. In Doctrine and Covenants 98:1–3, He says if we trust Him, He will turn hard things into blessings. When we pray to Heavenly Father, He can help us grow stronger and be more like Him, even when things are hard. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us and can turn our trials into blessings. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior– Sometimes, life is hard, and we face challenges that make us feel sad or worried. But Jesus Christ can help us. In Doctrine and Covenants 98:1–3, the Lord says that if we trust Him, He will help turn our trials into blessings. When we face hard things, we can pray to Jesus for help. He may not take our trials away right away, but He can help us learn and grow from them. For example, when we are kind to others even when it’s hard, we grow stronger and more like Jesus. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us and can turn our trials into blessings. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Week #3- September 15-21 “After Much Tribulation Cometh the Blessings”

Junior– The Lord wants us to be peacemakers. In Doctrine and Covenants 105:38–40, the Lord says we should make peace with others. Being a peacemaker means being kind and helping people get along. The Saints in Zion’s Camp showed us how to be peacemakers by working together instead of fighting. We can be peacemakers by sharing, being kind, and forgiving others. I know when we choose peace, we feel happy and help others feel happy too. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior– The Lord wants us to be peacemakers. In Doctrine and Covenants 105:38–40, the Lord talks about making peace with others. Being a peacemaker means helping people get along, being kind, and avoiding arguments. A long time ago, Zion’s Camp showed us the importance of peace. Some people were unkind to the Saints, but instead of fighting, the Lord told the Saints to work together and make peace. We can do the same in our lives. We can be peacemakers by sharing, being kind to siblings or friends, and forgiving others when they make mistakes. When we act with love and kindness, we are following Jesus’s example. I know that when we choose peace, we feel happy and help others feel happy too. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Week #4- September 22-28 “The Order of the Son of God”

Junior– We are blessed through priesthood power. In Doctrine and Covenants 107:18–19, it says the priesthood brings “spiritual blessings” to help us. Some blessings from the priesthood are baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost, and the sacrament. The priesthood also helps us when we are sick or need comfort. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus love us and blesses us and wants us to receive these blessings through the priesthood. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Senior– We are blessed through priesthood power. In Doctrine and Covenants 107:18–19, we learn that the priesthood brings “all the spiritual blessings” to help us. Some of these blessings include baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost, and the sacrament. The priesthood also gives us blessings when we are sick or need comfort. These ordinances and blessings help us feel closer to Jesus and Heavenly Father. The priesthood is the power of God. It helps us follow Jesus and live His teachings. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus love us and blesses us and wants us to receive these blessings through the priesthood. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #1- The Holy Ghost whispers with a still, small voice.
Junior– I can’t hear someone whisper to me if there is too much noise. I need to be quiet and still to hear them. The Holy Ghost also talks in a still, small voice. I can hear the Holy Ghost when I am quiet and listen. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior– I know that the Holy Ghost will help me to make decisions, recognize truth, comfort me, and protect me from danger. I want to hear the promptings of the Holy Ghost in my life. I know He whispers with a still, small voice, and I won’t always hear Him if I don’t prepare myself. I can be prepared to hear the Holy Ghost by participating in daily prayer, scripture study, and being obedient as a follower of Jesus Christ. I know that I can better hear Him in quiet moments, so I will create more quiet moments in my day. President Henry B. Eyring said, “We can, if we live worthy of it, have the blessing of the Spirit to be with us.” I want to live my life worthy of the blessings of the Holy Ghost. I will do my best to invite Him into my life. I will listen for the still, small voice. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Week #2- The Lord wants me to remember Him.
Junior– The Lord wants me to remember Him. I can remember Jesus by following His example. He will know I remember Him when I go to church each week and when I show kindness to others. I will show my love for Jesus every day. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior– The Lord wants me to remember Him at all times. This means I need to show gratitude when things are going well and lean on Him when things are tough. I can remember Him by being humble and counting my blessings often. Elder Gerritt W. Gong said, “Our Savior invites us to always remember Him as He always remembers us.” I know that it is true that He always remembers me. He loves me and wants me to be happy. I will remember Him by being obedient. I will keep the commandments. I will pray, study, attend church every week, and make good choices. I will repent when I make a wrong choice. In all these ways, I remember Him and the sacrifice He made so that I can have eternal life someday. I will remember Him and the joy I have because of Him. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Week #3- I am blessed as I follow the prophet.
Junior– I am grateful for the prophet. He tells me what Heavenly Father wants me to know. When I listen to the prophet, I know I will be blessed. I will follow the prophet and do what he says. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior– Samuel the Lamanite was a prophet of God. He was protected as he delivered the Lord’s message to them. A prophet is chosen by God. I know that President Russell M. Nelson is a prophet of God and that he teaches me what the Lord wants me to know. I know that I will be blessed as I follow the prophet. Elder Neil L. Andersen said a prophet “stands beside you and points the way to the Savior.” I know that when I follow the prophet, I will learn to do the Lord’s will and will find true happiness in my life. I feel my Savior’s love for me when I think about how He loved me so much that He wanted me to hear His voice through His prophets while I’m here on earth. I am grateful for a living prophet that guides me. I will follow him. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Week #4- I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Junior– I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. A disciple is someone who follows Jesus. I will follow His example every day by showing love and kindness. I will keep the commandments and share the gospel. I will learn to be like Him. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior– What is a disciple? I disciple is a follower of Christ. A disciple wants to become like Christ by following His example and learning how to think and act as He does. In the scriptures, we learn about what it means to be a disciple. In 3 Nephi 6:14 it reads, “They were firm, and steadfast, and immovable, willing with all diligence to keep the commandments of the Lord.” And in 3 Nephi 5:13 it says, “Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life.” As a disciple, we are commanded to share the gospel. We are told to be obedient and be “immovable” in our faith in Christ. I want to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Week #5- When I am in darkness, Jesus Christ can be my light.
Junior– When it is dark, I can have light by using a flashlight, lighting a candle, or flipping a light switch. When I feel sad or angry or in a dark place, I can find light, too. I can find light in Jesus Christ. He can help me to feel peace and happiness. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Senior– There are times in life when it may feel dark. Maybe you made a bad choice and needed to repent. Maybe you felt lost or sad and needed comfort. No matter why we may feel darkness in our lives, Jesus Christ is the source of all light and peace. I know that as I look to Him during tough times, He will comfort me. John 8:12 reads, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” His light is not only comfort and peace but also a light to show us right from wrong, and to help us to make good choices. I know that I can reflect His light by loving and serving others. I am grateful to know that darkness cannot exist where His light shines. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
