2026 October Come Follow Me Primary Talks

Week #1 September 28- October 4: Isaiah 40-49

Junior- Isaiah teaches that the Lord pours blessings on us like water helps a plant grow. When we pray, listen, and choose the right, Heavenly Father blesses us and helps us feel happy and strong. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus love me and bless me every day. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Senior- In Isaiah 44 and 45, the Lord promises that He will “pour water upon him that is thirsty” and “pour out [His] Spirit.” He also says that blessings will come down like rain from heaven. These verses teach us that the Lord does not give His blessings slowly or sparingly. He pours them out generously. When we water a plant, it grows stronger, taller, and healthier. The Lord’s blessings do the same for us. His Spirit comforts us, helps us choose the right, strengthens us during trials, and helps our testimonies grow. His blessings include answers to prayers, scriptures, families, friends, temples, prophets, and the guidance of the Holy Ghost. Even when life feels hard, the Lord is still pouring out blessings. Sometimes we just need to look more carefully to see them. As we pray, read the scriptures, and follow Jesus Christ, we can feel His love “rain down” on us, just like Isaiah described. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us and pour out blessings to help us grow. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Two printable Primary talk cards for Sept 28–Oct 4 about Isaiah 40–49, teaching that God pours out blessings like rain and helps us grow.

Week #2 October 5-11: Isaiah 50-57

Junior- Isaiah taught that Jesus would carry our sadness and our sins. That means Jesus helps us when we feel hurt, scared, or sad. He also helps us when we make mistakes. Jesus loves us so much that He suffered for us. Because of Him, we can feel better, be forgiven, and feel peace. I know Jesus loves me and takes care of me. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Senior- Isaiah 53 teaches about Jesus Christ hundreds of years before He came to earth. Isaiah described the Savior’s suffering, His sacrifice, and His love for each of us. He said Jesus would be “despised,” “rejected,” and “wounded.” He also said Christ would “bear our griefs” and “carry our sorrows.” Just like lifting a heavy object is hard, grief and sadness can feel heavy too. Our sins can also feel heavy. But Jesus carried all of that for us, our pain, our worries, our sadness, our temptations, and our sins. He did this so we don’t have to carry them alone. Because of the Savior, we can repent and be forgiven. When we feel afraid or lonely, He understands perfectly and can comfort us. When we are hurting, He knows exactly how to help. Isaiah taught these things long before they came to pass, so that people would recognize the Savior and have hope in Him. We can have that same hope today. I know Jesus Christ suffered for me, loves me, and helps me in every part of my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #3 October 12-18: Isaiah 58-66

Junior- Isaiah taught that when Jesus comes again, the world will be full of peace and happiness. No more hurting, no more being scared, just joy. Everyone will be kind, and Jesus will help us feel safe and loved. I’m excited for Jesus to come again. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Senior- In Isaiah 65, we learn what the world will be like when Jesus Christ comes again. Isaiah describes a “new earth” where there will be peace, safety, joy, and happiness. There will be no more fighting, no more hurting, and no more fear. People will live in harmony, and even animals will be gentle with one another. It will be a time of rejoicing because Jesus Christ will reign in peace. Isaiah said we will “be glad and rejoice for ever.” Why? Because Jesus will wipe away sadness, heal hearts, and bring perfect love. Everything unfair and difficult will be made right. The whole earth will feel the peace of the Savior. Thinking about the Second Coming gives us hope. It reminds us that no matter how hard life can be, Jesus Christ will return and bring joy to the entire world. We can prepare for that day by choosing the right, repenting, loving others, reading the scriptures, and following the Holy Ghost. I know that when Jesus comes again, it will be a day of peace, joy, and incredible love. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #4 October 19-25: Jeremiah 1-3; 7; 16-18; 20

Junior- Jeremiah 1:5 teaches that before we were born, Heavenly Father knew us and loved us. We lived with Him in heaven as spirits. He knows our names, our hearts, and He sent us here because He loves us. I know Heavenly Father knew me before I came to earth. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Senior- In Jeremiah 1:5, the Lord tells Jeremiah, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee.” This scripture teaches us a powerful truth: we lived with Heavenly Father before we were born. He knew us, loved us, and had a plan for us even before we came to earth. In the premortal life, we were spirits. We learned, we chose to follow Heavenly Father, and we prepared to come to earth. Heavenly Father knew our personalities, our strengths, and even the challenges we would face. He sent us here because He trusts us and knows we can grow and become more like Him. Knowing that Heavenly Father knew us before we were born helps us remember our worth. We are not here by accident; we are here on purpose. We are loved, watched over, and guided every day. I know Heavenly Father knew me before I was born, and He still knows me perfectly today. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Junior– The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the name Jesus gave to His Church. In Doctrine and Covenants 115:4, He says, “For thus shall my church be called in the last days, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints..” The name is special because it reminds us that Jesus leads the Church and that we follow Him. When we say the Church’s name, we show we love Jesus. I’m thankful to be a member of this Church. It helps me learn to follow Jesus and feel close to Him. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen

teal vertical rectangle with white vertical rectangle inside with text from October 20-26 primary talks with black circle with black and white temple graphic in bottom left corner and the text frosting and glue in white centered at bottom

Junior– Life can be hard sometimes, but God can turn hard things into blessings. Joseph Smith felt sad and lonely in Liberty Jail. He prayed, and the Lord comforted him. In Doctrine and Covenants 121:7–8, the Lord said, “Thy trials shall be but a small moment.” God helps us grow stronger and feel peace when we trust Him. When we have trials, we can pray, read scriptures, and trust that Heavenly Father will help us. I know God loves us and is always there for us. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Senior– Life can be hard sometimes, and we all face trials. But with God’s help, even hard things can turn into blessings. Joseph Smith learned this when he was in Liberty Jail. It was a dark and cold place, and Joseph felt sad and lonely. He prayed for help, and the Lord comforted him. In Doctrine and Covenants 121:7–8, the Lord told Joseph, “Thy trials shall be but a small moment … and if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high.” When we trust in God during hard times, He can help us grow stronger and feel His peace. When we have trials, we can pray, read scriptures, and trust that he will help us. Jesus loves us and can bring peace to our hearts, even when things are hard. I know that with God, my trials can be for my good. He helps me learn and grow, and He is always there for me. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Week #1- Heavenly Father answers my prayers.

Junior– I know that Heavenly Father always answers my prayers. He can speak to my heart with special feelings. He can speak to my mind with thoughts. He loves me. I will pray and have faith and listen for His answers. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Senior– There are times when we may pray for something and get an immediate answer- maybe a thought will pop in our head or a feeling will settle on our heart. We will know what we need to do or what decision to make right away. But Heavenly Father doesn’t always work in that way. Sometimes we will find the answer in a general conference talk, in the scriptures, or in a conversation with our parents or a friend. Heavenly Father communicates with us in so many different ways. We may even wait patiently for Him to answer and wonder if an answer will come at all. But it will! 3 Nephi 27:29 reads, “Therefore, ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you; for he that asketh, receiveth; and unto him that knocketh, it shall be opened.” I know that I know that Heavenly Father will always answer my prayers. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Week #2- The Savior loves each of Heavenly Father’s children.

Junior– Jesus loves everybody- big or small, young or old, rich or poor. He loves everyone in the world no matter what. He spent His life serving and loving all of God’s children. I will follow His example and love everyone, too. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Senior– After Jesus was resurrected, He visited the Nephites and blessed the children and healed the sick. He loved the Nephites and prayed for them. The Nephites felt His love. I know that Jesus loves everyone the same way that He loved the Nephites on that visit. He spent His life in service to everyone that He came across. He searched out the people that don’t always feel loved- like the poor, the sick, and the sinners. I am grateful for His example to me of what it means to love my neighbor. He wants me to love everyone, not just people that are easy to love, but also people that can sometimes be a challenge to love and serve. Elder Dale G. Renlund said, “As His disciples, let us fully mirror His love and love one another so openly and completely that no one feels abandoned, alone, or hopeless.” I want to follow Christ’s example and do my part to love eneryone as He would. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Week #3- I can search the scriptures diligently.

Junior– The scriptures are the word of God. When I study the scriptures every day, I feel closer to Him. I can learn about what Jesus wants me to do in the scriptures. I can feel love from God and my Father in Heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Senior– I will read the scriptures diligently. I can find many answers in the scriptures. When I read and search the scriptures daily, I can strengthen my faith and my relationship with Jesus Christ. I will learn about Him and His atonement. When President Nelson was asked why the scriptures were so important, he simply said, “Because it makes us happy. Without the scriptures, we wouldn’t know what’s right and what’s wrong…if we do what’s right, we’re happy.” I am grateful for the prophet’s testimony of the scriptures. I know that I can be happy as I follow God’s commandments. When I read the scriptures and pray about what I’ve read, I will open myself to the powerful influence of the Holy Ghost. 2 Nephi 32:3 reads, “Feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.” I am grateful for the scriptures. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Week #4- Following Jesus Christ brings me joy.

Junior– When I follow Jesus Christ’s example, I know I will be happy. He lived a perfect life. He loved and served everyone. Jesus taught me that I can be happy when I am obedient. Following Jesus brings me joy. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Senior– 4 Nephi 1:15 reads, “And it came to pass that there was no contention in the land, because of the love of God which did dwell in the hearts of the people.” How can we have the love of God dwell in our hearts? On way is that we can follow Jesus’ example. Elder M. Russell Ballard once said, “I testify as we follow Jesus Christ with footsteps of faith, there is hope.” I know that faith leads to hope and that hope is what leads us to joy. The gospel of Jesus Christ and His atonement allows me to feel hope at all times- good or bad. I am grateful for a Savior who provided the example for me to live by. His life was full of service and love. He showed us how to feel joy by serving others. I am grateful for the joy the gospel provides me. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
